ABOUT US

Our
investment
approach

Our investment approach

At AVC, transparency, partnership, and discipline are cornerstones of every investment. We originate deals directly, often through long-term relationships built with founders and operators across Australia.

Every transaction begins with alignment on values, ambition, and vision. We don’t invest unless the founder is equally committed to the journey ahead. We partner on equal terms, typically acquiring 50% of the business with clear pathways to control via M&A.

AVC takes an active role in delivering strategy. We provide operational support, bring in bench strength where needed, and hold teams accountable to an agreed plan. Our governance model is practical, respectful, and built on trust.

We work with business owners, not around them.

AVC targets businesses with

Cash-generative operations and long histories of profitability.

Defensive market positions in fragmented industries

EBITDA of $3-8 million and enterprise values of $20-50 million

Founders we believe in, with credible plans for growth

Our founder

Meet alexandra, the force behind avc.

Alexandra brings two decades of experience investing in and scaling essential service businesses across Australia and the UK. Before founding AVC, she led investments at a leading mid-market private equity firm, where she built a reputation for hands-on partnership with founders and operational rigor.

She launched AVC to do things differently—fewer deals, deeper relationships, and a long-term approach rooted in trust, discipline, and alignment.

She holds degrees in finance and law and splits her time between Sydney and London.
