Over decades we have refined our formula to maximise returns for investors and realise founder vision
LEADING WITH EMPATHY/
AVC is a private equity firm that applies experience and empathy to every aspect of investing. Specialising in acquiring, growing and realising the potential of essential service businesses, we take a different path learned over decades of experience. One that brings candour, understanding and genuine partnership to a space often defined by numbers alone.
Our 50+ years of collective experience with large institutional firms gives us the rigour and precision private equity demands. But it also revealed a gap – investment in the lower mid-market. Where others see subscale businesses, we see robust opportunities primed for exceptional growth.
At AVC, we are willing to do the hard work required of true business builders. We like to share the (heavy) load with our founders so they can work “on” rather than in the business. We combine the pedigree of institutional discipline with entrepreneurial agility to drive remarkable results.
DOWN TO AN ART
We know that the details determine the outcome. Every opportunity undergoes meticulous due diligence, from financial metrics to operational performance. We understand the business from the mapping of the truck routes to the name of the owners dog.
We work closely with a leading team of accountants, lawyers and industry experts to de-risk high-potential assets and create a transparent path to strong, reliable returns.
We pride ourselves as true 50/50 partners, focused on building enduring legacies, not just chasing short term success.
Along with trust, comes the invitation to work hand-in-hand with business leaders, digging deep into the everyday details that transform operations and drive performance.
This includes debt free strategies from day one, to ensure our growing business can self-fund growth with their own cash.
Relationships are at the heart of what we do. We firmly believe the greatest drivers of business success are the people themselves. We’re true partners invested in the success of everyone we back, anything is possible with a happy and aligned team.
We bring clarity, discipline and capital to realise founder ambition
We spot opportunities others miss and pursue them relentlessly, combining creativity with thoughtful execution to turn potential into results.
We act decisively, think quickly, and take initiative. Purposeful momentum and self-direction guide us to exceed expectations.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards, delivering exceptional results through collaboration, precision, and operational excellence.
TO EARTH
We are radically transparent and committed to doing the right thing. Empathy and genuine care guide every decision and help us build lasting success.
Investment Committee and Fund Advisory Board
Our investment committee brings decades of global private equity experience to every opportunity. With over 50 years of combined expertise in banking, private equity, and capital management, we apply a rigorous, hands-on approach to identify and grow attractive investments. Decisions are made by unanimous consensus because we know the best outcomes come from collaboration and shared insight.
